For my BIG project (and in preparation for ski season) I am doing an informational look at some of the ski slopes that could be skied in a daytrip from Seattle.

Weekend warriors of the northwest enjoy!

I will break these down by state

Washington:

• Mission Ridge
• Mt. Rainier
• Mt. Baker
• Snoqualmie
• Stevens Pass
• White Pass

Oregon:

• Mt. Bachelor
• Mt. Hood

I am not covering the following, which could conceivably be day trips:

• Hurricane Ridge in the Olympics - because there are only 10 runs (1 chair). It is too far to travel for too few runs.
• Leavenworth Ski Hill - It is only 400 feet with rope pulls. It has a terrain park for snowboarders(not my thing, can't comment on it).
• Loup Loup Ski Center in Omak - because there are only 10 runs (1 chair). It is too far to travel for too few runs.

Most of the mountains mentioned are in the Cascades.
